Disney CEO Tries to Put the Toothpaste Back in the Tube

Disney CEO Bob Chapek, who is known to many insiders as Bob Paycheck is trying his best to put the toothpaste back in the tube.

Chapek and Disney remained quiet as a new bill, dubbed by some as the “don’t say gay” bill wound its way through the Florida house and senate and ended up on the desk of Governor Ron DeSantis.

Disney and Chapek caught all kinds of heat for not speaking up and it came out that Disney even donated money to the campaigns of the bill’s sponsors.

Yesterday, Chapek came out and said that his approach "didn't quite get the job done” and that he spoke with DeSantis who "heard our concerns and agreed to meet" with him.

the DeSantis camp says that is not exactly how that went down. The governor's spokesperson said that Disney had requested a phone call with DeSantis and that DeSantis agreed to take the call.

DeSantis’ camp says "This is the first time we have heard from Disney regarding the bill. and that despite the too-late call from Chapek, the governor’s position has not changed. They also added that no in-person meeting has been scheduled yet.”

Walt Disney just rolled over in his grave one more time.
