The Zucker Replacement

It appears that CNN has chosen its replacement for Jeff Zucker.

The way things were going at CNN, you could have replaced Zucker with a ham sandwich and got better results.

Journalism was tossed aside for left-wing opinion and ratings had completely tanked and people a number of CNN staffers were fired after tossing ethics aside or getting arrested.

Jeffery Toobin dropped his pants and masturbated in front of his co-workers on a Zoom call and Zucker decided to keep him on staff.

So, when it came to replacing Zucker, the bar wasn’t very high, but it appears that CNN has made a good choice.

Word is that when CNN is peeled off from AT&T, Chris Licht will be leading the cable news network and trying to save what’s left of its reputation.

Licht helped create “Morning Joe,” help revamp “CBS This Morning” pumped some life into “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Many were hoping CNN would go with someone that harder chops as a Journalist, but Licht isn’t a bad choice.

Licht is still employed with CBS and is listed as the EP for “The Late Show,” but, his contract with CBS ends in April and that should be around the same time that Discovery takes over CNN from AT&T.

Some worry that having a guy that runs a late-night talk show as the new head of a cable news network might not be the right direction.

But, Licht is very smart and he does have a news background, working in local and network news. He should be able to adapt to heading up CNN.

Plus, let’s face it, after Jeff Zucker and his cratering the place any more than it already is?

FTVLive was hoping that CNN would go with either a woman, or a person of color to run the network, but once again, it’s another white guy.

Then again, I think we all knew it would be.
