TV stations have all kinds of contests.

You can win cash, trips, appliances, and even cars.

But, KOTV in Tulsa was giving viewers to win the chance to kill a helpless animal.

The station held a contest to go deer hunting with KOTV Reagan Ledbetter and a 17-year-old girl named August won the contest.

Ledbetter posted about the contest on his social media.

Now, as an animal lover, I think the idea of killing an animal just for sport is awful, but I know that some people think it’s fun.

But, what concerns me a bit more is the fact that a 17-year-old girl is going off into the woods with a male Reporter from the local station. I would have thought, there would have been some kind of age limit on this contest.

Also, I’m not sure gearing up a teenager with a gun is exactly the best optics for the station.

But hey, that’s just me.
