KXTL (Sacramento) Morning Anchor Pedro Rivera is leaving the station, but not the Nexstar family.

Rivera posted the news that he is headed to Nexstar’s sister station KTLA. Some viewers LA viewers might have already seen Rivera on the air. When he was flown in for an interview, the station had him “audition” by anchoring two days of KTLA Morning News.

More often than not, when candidates are brought in, they shoot an audition with other anchors, but it isn’t done live, like it was done with Rivera.

Anyway, I guess they liked him, since he will now become a KTLA employee.
