FTVLive told you last week that KTVU (San Francisco) Anchor Frank Somerville was suspended by the station.

Word is that Somerville got into a heated exchange with a manager over ongoing coverage of the Gabby Petito missing person and homicide case.

After Petito’s body was found, sources say that Somerville wanted to add a brief tagline to the script critiquing the extraordinary media coverage Petito’s story had garnered and showing it is another example of the media’s fixation when the victim is a pretty white woman.

He was then suspended from the Fox O&O.

KTVU News Director Amber Eikel continues to make posts to her Twitter account about different topics. But almost every time she post something, the comments turn to Frank Somerville and his suspension.
