Melanie Buck was Executive Producer for CNN’s “Cuomo Prime Time” from April 2018 but was suddenly replaced back in March 2020. Now, details are coming out as to why that may have happened?

Page Six says that Buck begged to leave his show after she and Chris Cuomo clashed over “significant differences.” Multiple sources saying that Buck found the hot-headed host’s behavior threatening.

FTVLive has heard from people inside CNN that claim that between Cuomo’s giant ego and short temper, they feel like they are walking on eggshells when they are around him.

“The biggest thing is that Jeff Zucker has given him carte blanche to do whatever he wants to do,” said one CNN insider to FTVLive.

Page Six writes a CNN insider confirmed Buck went to CNN boss Jeff Zucker and asked to be taken off Cuomo’s show and moved to another department, which he agreed to. The insider denied rumors that Buck was given a significant pay-off to stay silent over her spat with the agitable anchor.

“I spent two years as EP on Chris’ show and I’m proud to have led it to #1 at CNN,” Buck told Page Six. “We ultimately had significant differences, and I asked to leave the show. I have moved on and am looking forward to my latest role with CNN+.”

Last week, Cuomo’s former boss at ABC News wrote an opinion piece in the New York Times about the time Cuomo grabbed her ass.

CNN has remained silent on the issue.
