Back before the Olympics started, on July 23rd, FTVLive wrote, “Going on nothing but my gut, my prediction is that this will be the lowest-rated Olympics in history.”

Well, not to say we nailed it, but the rating for the games was down nearly 50%.

NBC called them 'underwhelming ratings' for the Tokyo Olympics.

There was some good news.

The streaming audience grew 76 percent from the 2018 PyeongChang opening ceremony and 72 percent from the 2016 Rio opener, reflecting a change in viewing habits.

A number of Olympic advertisers have voiced their frustration in not getting their bang for their buck.

Streaming and digital advertising is not the future, it’s here now!
