We Stand Corrected

When the NBC O&O’s unveiled their mobile sat trucks that they call Storm Ranger, they made a huge deal about their “state of the art” technology packed into a truck.

Since they started promoting and sharing the trucks (some stations share one truck) for the most part you don’t see them much.

FTVLive pointed out that we did not see them while watching coverage of Tropical Storm Henri.

But, a Photographer at an NBC station said that one of the Storm Rangers was indeed out during the coverage.

Another NBC insider said that NBC doesn’t always put a Reporter with them are out, so you might not know.

As we said, “We never saw them in the coverage” which is true, but it appears that some of the trucks were used in the coverage of Henri.

We just didn’t see it.
