For some reason, as Tropical Storm Henri made its way up the Eastern seaboard, CNN sent media critic Brian Stelter out to cover the storm in NYC.

Stelter, who most often obsesses on Fox News and what they’re doing, took a break from obsession to go ride around NYC and play Reporter.

Stelter describes himself as a “weather geek” and I guess he believes that qualifies him to report on the storm.

It should be pointed out that Stelter has never held a job as a General Assignment Reporter and CNN is still his first TV job he has ever had.

It was not lost on viewers that Stelter got to play Reporter, or the fact that CNN contined to cover rain in New York City, while the storm was having a real impact in other areas.
