A number of Cox stations are still not able to get their live newscasts on the air after the company was hacked in what appeared to be a ransomware attack.

FTVLive FIRST told you that the Cox/Apollo stations have been heavily impacted by the hack. Employees have been told not to use company laptops, computers or phones. They have also been told not to talk about, or post to social media about the attack.

At least one former Cox employee, now working at another station group saw that he deleted cox email address was again working. It appears that the old address had been reactivated.

Many of the Cox stations have appeared to have control of the stations websites as they are now being updated. Many of the sites went a full day with no updates posted.

While the news of the ransomware attack is being now being reported by a number of outlets, we could not find the story on any of the Cox stations websites that we looked at.

Sources tell FTVLive that those that have infiltrated the Cox computer systems are asking the company for millions of dollars to let Cox regain control.
