Longtime Palm Beach Newsie Has Died

One of the most inspiring people that I have ever worked with in TV news died this past week.

Mike Caruso who spent 30 plus years at WPEC in West Palm Beach passed away after experiencing breathing problems.

Mike worked as a Sports Producer and Video Editor at WPEC, until he was basically wheeled out the door by Sinclair.

He went on to start his own PR company and worked for himself.

Back in 2013, I wrote about working with Mike and how he dealt with muscular dystrophy and how he was so inspiring.

RIP Mike.
