Atlanta Station Airs Fake News

Meredith’s WGCL in Atlanta showed a dramatic picture of a tornado touching down in The A-T-L.

The station posted the picture online and aired the photo on newscasts.

There was just one small problem.

It wasn’t a tornado at all.

Sadly, Sean Breslin the Managing Editor at The Weather Channel had to point this out to the station.

After it was pointed out, WGCL management quickly rushed out a memo to tell Producers to stop using the image.

I’m sorry, but isn’t the time to verify the photo is before you put it on air?

Gray can’t takeover this station fast enough.

Just saying…..
