Another Jeff Zucker Flop

Jeff Zucker made a name for himself as the Executive Producer of NBC’s Today Show. He helped guide the show to the top of the ratings, although some would argue that Matt Lauer and Katie Couric were more the reason that happened.

Since taking over CNN, Jeff Zucker has tried to bring his morning show magic to the cable news network and has failed.

He has blown up CNN’s morning newscast 6 or 7 times and he is yet to find the magic formula.

Zucker’s latest iteration with Brianna Keilar fronting the program alongside John Berman is off to an awful start.

According to Nielsen, CNN’s new New Day just delivered the lowest-rated week of the year in total viewers and tied for the lowest-rated week of 2021 in the key 25-54 demo.

Compared to the 1st Quarter when Alisyn Camerota and John Berman hosted the show, the Keilar, Berman newscast is down nearly 40% in total viewers and the demos.

Might be time for the Zuck to blow it up again.
