That Didn't Last Long.....

Back in June of last year, FTVLive told you that Meredith’s KCTV (Kansas City) had named Scott Flannigan the station’s new News Director.

Less than a year later, he is now gone from the station.

A KCTV insider says, “That will be six news directors in just eight years at KCTV.” Flannigan came to KC from Meredith’s WALA (Mobile, AL) and didn’t make it even a year.

Replacing him is now even a tougher task with Meredith reportedly selling the company. Not many qualified News Directors are going to want to take the job, knowing that upper management could be soon changing.

As the KCTV insider said to FTVLive, “Our morale has been horrible with pay cuts, layoffs, and the expected sale of the Meredith TV stations.”

The insider added that the place is getting a “bad reputation just like WGCL (Meredith’s Atlanta station)”

Ouch!
