DC Anchor Suspended for Tweet

FTVLive FIRST told you how WTTG (DC) Anchor Blake McCoy posted a tweet in which he complained about obese people getting a COVID vaccine shot before him.

He posted and later deleted this tweet.

After pulling down the tweet, McCoy posted an apology, but a follow-up post made the apology appear hollow at best.

Now, the Fox O&O station has suspended McCoy. “He has been suspended pending further review,” said Fox spokesperson Erica Keane.

Maybe the “further review” should include looking at McCoy’s actions during the pandemic. While the CDC urged people to curb unnecessary travel, McCoy posted photos on his social media making trips to Hawaii, California, New York, and other locations.

Sources inside the station say that McCoy appears not happy with his job and has grumbled about working at the Fox station.

“I wonder if he will return to the station?,” said one WTTG staffer to FTVLive.
