Replacing Zucker at CNN

NBC’s Dylan Byers came out with a story yesterday that says when Jeff Zucker leaves CNN, one of the top names on the list to replace him is CNN communications chief Allison Gollust.

Gollust worked under Zucker at NBC and he brought her to CNN. In the past, rumors floated that when Zucker filed from divorce from his wife, he was dating Gollust at the time.

There are a number of people inside CNN that FTVLive has talked to that think that when Zucker’s contract is up later this year, he will want to sign a new deal.

While it would be great if CNN’s next boss was a woman (or a minority) one CNN staffer said to FTVLive, “the last thing we need is the female version of Jeff Zucker,” pointing to Gollust.
