New News Director Named in The Rock

Sinclair’s KATV has named a new boss of the station’s newsroom.

Amy Sullivan joins the station from KVEO/KGBT in Harlington, Texas, where she served as the director since March 2019.

She replaces News Director Nick Genty.

FTVLive FIRST reported in a Patron Only story that KATV Anchor Chris May and Weatherman Barry Brandt were suspended after wearing afro wigs during the newscast.

Gentry was let go from the station shortly after that incident and a Sinclair investigation.
