The No. 1 Best TV Station to Work For....

The last time we did this list, this station came in at the No. 2 spot and now it moves up one notch to No. 1.

Last time we ranked this station we said, “this Raleigh, NC is the gold standard when it comes to station doing digital. It is a good bet that WRAL has more people on their digital team than any other station in the country.

WRAL is owned by Capitol Broadcasting Company and has been since its inception. While stations seem to getting bought and sold at a break neck pace, this station has only ever had one owner.

WRAL has always been ahead of the game when it came to technology. In fact, WRAL was the first in the U.S. to broadcast a live sports program in high definition (on September 6, 1997), as well as the first HD newscast (on October 28, 2000). They were the first station in the state to get a news chopper.

The station broadcasts 39½ hours of locally produced newscasts each week (with 6½ hours on weekdays, 3 hours on Saturdays and 4 hours on Sundays).

You want a cutting edge station that people enjoy working for, this is it.

That complete our list and as management changes and sales happen, the list is changing all the time.

Of course, this list is subjective and some of you might agree or disagree with our picks.
