Is CBS Looking to Dump Norah O'Donnell

Word is that CBS might be looking to make yet another change on their flagship newscast, the CBS Evening News.

The New York Post is dishing that are looking at replacing Norah O’Donnell, who has held the job since 2019.

The post writes that CBS has begun to quietly search for her replacement amid sagging ratings, The Post has learned.

The 47-year-old news anchor, who muscled her way into the evening slot in 2019 as she fled a reportedly strained relationship with co-host Gayle King on “CBS This Morning” now stands vulnerable to the network’s bean counters as her ratings have stayed stubbornly stuck in third place, according to sources close to the situation.

Word is that low ratings and O’Donnell’s hefty pay package have them looking to make a change.

When O’Donnell took the job from Jeff Glor, she also had CBS shift the location of the newscast to Washington, DC.

The post says that CBS suits are not only looking at bouncing O’Donnell but also looking to bring the broadcast back to New York City.
