Nexstar’s KVEO (Brownsville, TX) has debuted a new newscast the anchor team consistent of two hispanic women.

How cool is that?

KVEO News Director Amy Sullivan tweeted this out as the new cast launched:

Weekend anchor Clara Benitez and KVEO reporter Sydney Hernández make up that new evening news team.

Let’s hope stuff like this becomes more of a trend and not a one-time thing.
