It appears some Fox affiliates are a bit worried as they look to the night of August 27th.

It seems that Fox Television has set Thursday, August 27th as a night that they will be airing a Major League Baseball game the network.

That also happens to be the last night of the Republican National Convention and the night that Donald Trump is set to accept his party’s nomination and give a speech.

Now, if all goes as planned, the game should be over. But, many games this season have run long and there is always the chance of extra innings.

So, what happens if the game is tied 3-3 in extra innings, runners in scoring position, 3-2 count, and here’s the pitch……”We interrupt this program to bring you the acceptance speech of President Trump…..”

You dump out of the game and you are going to have some really pissed off sports fans. You stay with the game and you are going to have some really pissed off Trump fans.

If I was working on the assignment desk in the newsroom, or heading up the station’s social media, I might be calling in sick on the 27th.
