Signing Off in New York
/WABC announced that longtime Reporter Tim Fleischer is stepping down from the NYC blowtorch.
Fleischer joined the station in 1985 and is the only station Reporter to have served as Bureau Chief in both New Jersey and Long Island and now in Westchester County.
He anchored the morning show for 4 years and also anchored the weekend newscast.
He spent the last years as a Reporter and made headlines a couple of years ago after he was punched while covering a story.
It was just announced on Eyewitness News at 6: @TimFleischer7 is retiring. He’s been here for 35 years. (I’m 33!) And on my first week here 3 years ago, Tim helped show me the ropes. TV is such a fickle industry, to last at one station for 35 years is remarkable. Congratulations! pic.twitter.com/KuPbt4k5gu
