Nexstar Station is Working Quietly on New Show

Okay, this one is supposed to be hush, hush, so don’t say anything….

Nexstar’s KTLA is working on a pilot show that is currently being titled “LA UNSCRIPTED.”

Word Is that it is an entertainment show, you know, because there aren’t enough of those around.

Sources tell FTVLive that KTLA shot a pilot show about a week ago. It appears that KTLA talent Dayna Devon, Meteorologist Liberte Chan, and Megan Telles are the hosts of the secret show.

Insiders say that KTLA News Director Jason Ball is much more into entertainment and celebrity than he is into news and this is the type of shows that he really enjoys.

It is also not Ball’s first attempt in trying to do an entertainment show.

Back when the station was owned by Tribune, Ball tried launching a show called HOLLYWOOD MIX that was hosted by Jillian Barberie.

It didn’t last long.

Will this one make the cut?

Time will tell, but some news people think that Nexstar should be spending that money on the news product and not another entertainment show.
