BREAKING! Andy Lack To Step Down at NBC News

It should have happened a while ago, but at least it is happening.

NBC News chairman Andy Lack is getting pushed out at NBC and should be gone by the end of the month.

Lack was a big player in trying to kill Ronan Farrow’s story on Harvey Weinstein. A number of staffers at NBC have also said that they thought Lack helped protect Matt Lauer and knew of his actions before finally firing him.

Lack will be replaced by Cesar Conde, who currently oversees NBCUniversal International Group and NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises.

Conde takeover Lack’s job as chairman of NBC News Group, including MSNBC, CNBC and NBC News.
