It's a Distraction....

It was a rule in TV news to not distract from your reporting with your attire.

Women were told to not wear tops that were cut too low, and men were told to stay away from loud shirts and ties. The thought was that viewers might be distracted from the story.

Yes folks, there was a time when the focus was on the story and it wasn’t all about you.

But, times have changed and if you want an example of that, look no further than this Reporter on the 6 PM newscast at Tegna’s KUSA in Denver.

Not only the glasses but the tie tack as well.

I would not be surprised if I tuned into a Tegna newscast and saw this:
