Back in September of 2018, Mike Lewis was named the General Manager of WJZY Fox 46 in Charlotte.

“Leading WJZY and WMYT is a tremendous opportunity and I look forward to helping further the growth of these stations’ market influence and prominence,” said Lewis at the time.

But, it appears that Lewis did not even make it a year on the job.

Sources tell FTVLive that the newsroom was told on Friday that Lewis was gone from the station. Nexstar Regional Manager Doug Davis informed them of the change.

This news came just hours after FTVLive posted this story about the station.

To be fair, Lewis was a holdover from when Fox owned the station and had been with Fox Television for nearly 2 decades. It seems Nexstar wanted to bring in their own GM.
