The door continues to swing at Nexstar’s WPRI (Providence).

The latest to be leaving the station is popular sportscaster Ruthie Polinsky.

Word is that Polinsky is headed to a Miami station, she hasn’t yet said which one.

She posted her goodbye message to viewers on Facebook, saying:

Well, here we go. This is my last full week at WPRI. Where do I even begin?

• Most people can only dream of standing on the game field after a Super Bowl. I did that twice. I covered a World Series and a Stanley Cup Final. I covered URI and PC basketball and went with the Friars to the NCAA Tournament. I covered hundreds of high school games and watched the smallest state produce a Little League World Series team — twice.

• It’s been a whirlwind. The events I covered were incredible, but the people I met along the way are what made these last three years the best of my life. The athletes, the coaches, the PR staffs, the colleagues. You are what make this goodbye so hard. Thank you for treating this young Midwesterner with the utmost respect, and for helping me grow as a reporter and a person.

• I‘ve seen a lot of teams. MY teammates are my favorite. @yiannikourakis, @mahhersh, @jpsmollins, @thegreshshow, @mdonderotv, thank you. We laughed a ton, and I’m so lucky to call you guys my lifelong friends.

• To our viewers: thank you for welcoming me into your homes and into this beautiful Rhode Island community. I love this state with my whole being. I’m so grateful to do what I love and for this journey. I can’t wait to share what’s next! @ WPRI / WNAC Providence
