Legendary Chicago Weatherman Tom Skilling says that tonight will be his last night on air for awhile.

Skilling announced that he is going to take time off to have gastric bypass surgery to battle his ongoing weight problem.

Skilling is THE source when it comes to weather in Chicago and viewers have watched over the years as he has battled his weight and he says it is time to do something about it.
