18 Years and Counting

18 years ago, Fox News passed CNN in the cable news ratings and they have been No. 1 ever since.

When FNC passed Fox News, MSNBC was a distant 3rd behind both Fox and CNN.

Today, Fox is on top, MSNBC is second and it is CNN that finds themselves in the basement.

Fox News bosses Suzanne Scott & Jay Wallace who seem to send out every memo together, sent this Internal email to the staff.

It was obtained by FTVLive:

Dear colleagues,

Please see the press release below on FOX News Channel reaching 18 consecutive years at number one, which was issued today: http://press.foxnews.com/2020/01/fox-news-channel-marks-18th-consecutive-year-as-number-one-cable-news-network/

We passed CNN at the end of January 2002 in viewership and the key 25-54 demo in both Total Day and Primetime, and never looked back.

There is no other network in cable that can lay claim to this level of consistent dominance with one of the most loyal and passionate audiences in the country. All of you should be extremely proud in reaching this milestone and we thank everyone for their hard work and dedication in keeping FOX News Channel so immensely successful.

To celebrate this incredible accomplishment, breakfast will be served from 7:00-10:00 AM, lunch from 12:00-3:00 PM, and dinner from 5:00-8:00 PM on Monday, February 3rd at our headquarters.

All meals will be served in the 2nd floor newsroom and the 20th floor pantry.

For bureaus outside of New York, please contact your bureau chief for information on celebratory treats to be served next Monday.

Cheers,

Suzanne & Jay
