As the new year is here, there is a change to the non-compete law in the state of Washington.

Under the new law, non-compete agreements are void unless meeting a certain threshold. Non-compete agreements are only enforceable if worker earns more than $100,000 a year, a contractor earns $250,000 a year and the employer discloses the terms of a non-compete when making an offer.

If you are employed at a TV station in Washington, make sure you look into the new law and be informed.

If you are talking a job in the state, make sure you know the law, or better yet hire an agent, who will alreday know the law.
