Yesterday, FTVLive told you about the infighting between the news people and the opinion people at Fox News.

Tucker Carlson and Shepard Smith have been exchanging blows, while Carlson actually snickering at Smith’s reporting.

It seems that management at Fox News is taking sides and they have sided with the spewer of hate, Tucker Carlson.

Vanity Fair writes that “Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott and president Jay Wallace communicated to Smith this morning to stop attacking Carlson, a person briefed on the conversation said. “They said if he does it again, he’s off the air,” the source said.”

Fox News Spokeswoman Irena Briganti denies that management had any direct conversation with Smith.

Of course the words “direct conversation” could be the key here.

One Fox News source told FTVLive that management is more inclined to protect their prime time host, instead of some “news guy” that is on in the afternoon.

Smith has been a target of conservatives for not falling in line with the Fox News support of Trump. Smith has reported on Trump in a much more critical way and has drawn the ire of Carlson and others like Sean Hannity.

The bottom line is that the infighting between any members of Fox News is an embarrassment for the network.

Now, it seems like management is stepping in to make sure it stops.

The question now is will Smith take this edict quietly, or will he speak up. He is one of the few at Fox News that is not afraid to go against the grain. But, will he do so at the cost of possibly losing his job?

Stay tuned….
