Appears?

Yesterday, FTVLive watched the Noon newscast from WOIO in Cleveland.

There was some breaking news about a car crash that involved two cars.

The 19 News Anchor through it live to Reporter Brittany Bivins who said, “Where there does appear to be an accident…"

Appears?

There is a car flipped on its side with cops cars all around it, I think we can say it is an accident and does not “appear to be an accident.”

The camera then pans over to another car that is crashed into a building. The Reporter says, “There is another car that appears that it veered off and crashed into some kind of structure here..."

The car is smashed into the building, it’s not a David Copperfield magic act, it does not “appear” it freaking happened.

The Reporter then states, ”We still don't know how serious the injuries might be...” while the lower third tells us that it was “deadly.”

This is the type of Reporting you expect in Joplin or Agusta, but this is Cleveland, a top 20 market.

I don’t know about you, but it “appears” that TV news is not as credible as it used to be?
