Bye-Bye to the Burgh

WPXI Anchor Damany Lewis is leaving Cox’s station in Pittsburgh after nearly 5 years.

While he is leaving the station, he is not leaving the Cox (soon to be Apollo) family.

Lewis is headed to sister station WSOC in Charlotte, North Carolina.

"My family and I are excited about this new adventure, but we are saddened to leave all of our friends and neighbors that have become family in Pittsburgh," Lewis said on social media. "The old saying goes, 'Life is a journey not a destination.' Well, we can honestly say the journey through Pittsburgh has been fulling beyond our hearts content and it's an experience we will always cherish and embrace."

While at WPXI, Lewis anchored the noon newscast with Peggy Finnegan and is a reported for the later shows.
