WSB 4PM co-anchor Craig Lucie is leaving the Cox Media Group flagship station after 8 years to start-up a new PR firm, and plans to stay in Atlanta area.

Lucie's departure from Atlanta TV news comes right on the heels of Cynné Simpson's departure from Fox O&O WAGA-TV.

As for possible successor/replacement for Lucie... WSB-TV could stay in-house, with names like Fred Blankenship, Justin Wilfon, or Dave Huddleston. Blankenship is a fixture to morning and noon news since 2007, and Wilfon has been on weekend news since 2016, and Huddleston is occasional fill-in anchor. Or WSB could head outside for the replacement.

WSB’s parent company Cox Media Group is being acquired by Apollo Global Management.
