Tristan Warkentin from Toronto, was charged with mischief and interfering with lawful operation of property after an interview on live TV.

CP24 Reporter Kelly Linehan was doing a live hit after the Toronto Raptors NBA playoff game. She asked a group of fans what it was like at the game and Wakentin responded, making obscene comments about Ayesha Curry, wife of Golden State Warriors player Stephen Curry.

“I’m so sorry about that, I apologize to all our viewers and you guys,” Linehan says to the rest of the group following the comment.

The man ran away after the interview, police said.

“This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. It’s important that journalists can do their jobs free from harassment and offensive behavior,” CP24 said in a statement to the Star.

Police were able to find the guy and charge him.
