When covering a police stand off, it is important for the media to tell the story, but not get into too much detail with police activities.
Word is that KTUL (Tulsa) was covering a police stand off with a murder suspect. The station tweeted out this picture of a police sniper.
Basically, if the suspect logged onto social media and KTUL’s account, he knew exactly where the sniper was positioned.
This is not something stations should do. The picture is fine, after the stand off is over, but not during.
Sources tell FTVLive that the Tulsa Police were not happy with KTUL and after making their concerns known, the station pulled the post.
