Later Today, CBS’s new News President Susan Zirinsky is expected to announce big changes to both CBS This Morning and the CBS Evening News.

The changes are hardly a secret and most expect that she will announce that Norah O’Donnell will take over for Jeff Glor on The CBS Evening News.

Glor has not been in the big chair 2 years yet and it looks like he will already get the hook. CBS has blown up the evening newscast and started over a number of times, it remains in a distant last place.

in the AM, CBS This Morning will see changes as well. Obviously, O’Donnell is gone and so will be John Dickerson, who was brought in to replace Charlie Rose, who was fired for sexual misconduct.

You could ask 100 people and maybe one would know who the hell John Dickerson is? Dickerson is solid in his job, but when it comes to flair and exuberance, that is not his lane. Then again, the same thing could be said about Glor.

It is expected that Dickerson will be pushed over to 60 Minutes.

CBS This Morning will be centered around Gayle King, best known for being Oprah’s best friend and one of the few people that landed a big fat new contract at CBS.

CBS will be making their annual presentation to advertisers on May 15 and they want to have the changes announced before then.

It will likely happen Today and should not be much of a surprise to anyone.

Stay tuned….
