Pittsburgh is without a doubt one of the most competitive markets in the country when it comes to TV news ratings.
It seems like each book has a race that is so close it’s crazy.
In the Feb book it shows that CBS O&O KDKA drew the most viewers at noon, 4, 5, 6 and 11 p.m. while WPXI-TV’s news on WPGH-TV was No. 1 at 10 p.m. and WTAE-TV fared best at 5 and 6 a.m.
But a closer look at the 11PM newscast, shows that KDKA and WPXI tied in the age 25-54 demo for the late news.
In the rest of the demo race, WTAE came in first at 5 and 6 a.m. KDKA was No. 1 at noon and 5 p.m. WPXI was tops at 6 p.m.
Like we said, it is very competitive in the Burgh.
