It appears that the woman that got NBC Today Show Anchor Matt Lauer fired is now shopping a book deal.
Page Six says that the former NBC staffer, who was actually the former assistant of Lauer’s ex-“Today” co-host Meredith Vieira, is speaking to a variety of publishing houses.
Lauer was sacked after the staffer complained about his alleged inappropriate conduct that started at the 2014 Sochi Olympics — and continued for several months.
A source tells us Lauer and the aide — who subsequently rose to the role of a “Today” producer — embarked on a long-term affair starting in Sochi.
She broke her silence about the affair to NBC chiefs on Nov. 27, 2017.
Lauer was sacked the next night after NBC News chairman Andy Lack went over to his Upper East Side apartment to fire him.
Lauer has since sold that apartment.
