KTHV (Little Rock) Anchor Craig O’Neill was planning on retiring from the Tegna station this year.

But, his plans have changed.

KTHV GM Marty Schack announced that O’Neill has signed a new contract to remain on the air for another year.

O’Neill was hired as the stations Sports Director and was later promoted to the news anchor desk in 2000 where he remains today.

When asked what made him change his mind on retiring, O’Neill said, “THV11 has so much creative momentum I can’t retire right now! Besides, from what I can tell, I’m looking younger!”

Schack said, “We look forward to spending this additional year celebrating Craig’s career in broadcasting and saluting his endless commitment to the community.”
