When the cops arrested WBNS Chief Meteorologist Mike Davis, they raided his home and the TV station looking for child porn that he downloaded.

Police say he downloaded almost 16,000 images of young girls either naked or having sex.

WBNS owner Tegna is now trying to move on from Davis, who clearly has hurt the station’s reputation.

The station has now named Davis’ replacement.

WBNS has bumped up moring met Ashlee Baracy to the Chief Meteorologist role at the station and It’s effective immediately.

“Ashlee brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her new role as Chief Meteorologist. Her professionalism, grace under pressure, and team approach are vital to keeping viewers safe and informed,” says Jennifer Nickels, 10TV News Director. “She is a role model for many in our newsroom and community, sharing her positive message of female empowerment and kindness. I’m very excited for her future here in Columbus.”

“From the moment I moved to Central Ohio, it has felt like home. Over the past year, the community has embraced and supported my growing family,” says Baracy. “It is a great honor to serve this community as WBNS’ Chief Meteorologist. In my role, I hope to continue inspiring young women to pursue careers in science, and be a positive role model for balancing life and family.”

A lot of talk about being a “role model,” something that Davis certainly was not.
