Last night the Suncoast Emmy’s handed out their awards for the southeast.

They handed out so many Emmy’s that the award dinner was over 4 hours long and it will take you a long time to scroll through all the winners of the Suncoast Emmy Twitter page.

I’m sorry, but when you hand out thousands upon thousands of awards across the country, winning an Emmy is closer to winning a participation trophy like they give 5-year-olds at soccer camp.

And yet, people and stations are wasting their time and a lot of damn money to enter to win one of the thousands of awards that are handed out.

All to inflate what is likely too big of an ego.
