New News Boss Named

WOFL (Orlando) bumped up Assistant News Director Melissa Medalie to the News Director job at The Firm’s station.

She replaces Jeff Zeller who was bounced back in August.

Judging by the messages coming into FTVLive, a number of people in the WOFL newsroom are not too hot on the pick of Medalie to lead the newsroom.

But, what is odder is that a number of staffers found out about Medalie’s promotion from an internal email that was sent out by the Chief Photographer.

Isn’t this the kind of email that should come from the GM and not a Photog?
