Replacement Named in Columbus

Back in May, FTVLive told you that WCMH Anchor Ellie Merritt was leaving the Nexstar station to to....say it with me....spend more time with her family. 

WCMH has finally gotten around to naming a replacement and the people in the newsroom were last to know. 

The station has hired Darlene Hill, who anchored the news at WFLD in Chicago, before she was pushed out the door. 

The news staff at WCMH was told of the hire only after it was already all over Twitter, including this tweet from Tia Ewing (who blocks FTVLIve on Twitter):
