Signing Off in Albany

Longtime WTEN (Albany, NY) Anchor Elisa Streeter says that she is stepping off the anchor desk after 30 years at the Nexstar station.

Streeter posted the announcement to social media, writing:

"After 30 fantastic years here at News10, I will be retiring at the end of this year!

"I have been so fortunate to work with so many compassionate, smart and truly funny people throughout the years.”

"So many of them have become family to me, and will be truly missed! But I am so grateful to all of you who have allowed me into your homes all these years.

"You have watched me through some of the greatest moments in my life: marrying my husband and carrying and giving birth to three wonderful children!

"You have also shared with me many heartbreaking and at times hilarious moments on air, and I will always be grateful for your kindness during those times.”

"Just like so many of you, I am entering a new phase of my life, and I am so very excited for the new adventure ahead."

Streeter currently co-anchors the 4, 4:40, 5:30 and 11 p.m. newscasts at WTEN. While the Nexstar-owned station has seen quite a bit of turnover in recent months, the primary anchor roles have not seen much turnover.
