ABC’s Ginger Zee was covering Hurricane Florence, but I guess some viewers thought she should be home in the kitchen.

People on Twitter shamed Zee, a mom, for doing her job.

She took to Twitter to respond to those who criticized her parenting and reminded everybody of what's really important during a time like this.

Lots of attacks this morning. I know I’m a mother. I love my family. I also love my job. I always put safety first. I’m in safe spot:no one could have anticipated boards popping up on a deck.
