That Didn't Take Long

It wasn't more than 24 hours after Ron DeSantis won the GOP primary for Florida Governor, that he went on Fox News and showed his racist colors. 

While talking about Andrew Gillum, who won the Democratic Primary and is the first African American to win a major-party nomination for governor in Florida, DeSantis threw a "monkey" comment.

Ron DeSantis, appearing on Fox News, told Florida voters not to 'monkey this up' by choosing his African American opponent, Andrew Gillum. The Florida governor race pits DeSantis, who has closely aligned himself with Donald Trump, against Gillum, a progressive backed by Bernie Sanders.

To her credit, Fox News host Sandra Smith moved quickly to distance herself from DeSantis racist remarks. “We do not condone this language and wanted to make our viewers aware that he has since clarified his statement,” Smith said.
