In an op-ed story on the NBC News website it says that Sinclair Broadcasting is the truest heir to former Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes’s original vision of conservative news programming.
The piece authored by Nicole Hemmer, an assistant professor at the University of Virginia’s Miller Center says this about Sinclair and their takeover of the Tribune stations, "for those worried about the rise of propaganda in America, that is a troubling development. But for those rooting for Ailes’s vision of a conservative answer to mainstream news, it’s a dream come true."
It's strange that NBC is running a piece that basically attacks the owner of many of their affiliates. The again Sinclair has attacked the "national media" a number of times as well.
Many outside Tv news are just sitting back and watching the media attack each other, but one must ask, what kind of message is that sending?
Here is the NBC piece on Sinclair.
