New ND Named In Paradise

KITV (Honolulu) has named Janice Gin as the station’s new News Director starting early next year.

Gin comes to KITV from Nexstar’s KRON (San Francisco) where she has served as Assistant News Director for more than five years.

"I am so excited to be part of a local news team that understands the importance of community and is committed to good journalism”, said Gin.

“Janice’s experience and expertise will be a tremendous asset,” said Chief Operating Officer John Christianson.

“Janice is recognized as an industry leader who will lead the KITV4 Island News team to even greater success with a commitment to producing excellent news and community service,” added Brian Trauring, Vice President of News, Marketing and Content Development.

She starts the new gig on January 7th.
