Out the Door in Dallas

WFAA Reporter/Anchor Monica Hernandez is leaving the Tegna station, but is not yet saying where she is headed.

WFAA News Director Carolyn Mungo confirmed that Hernandez has accepted a main anchor role out of state.

It is said to be a station in the Northeast.

Hernandez has been at the station for 4 years and previously worked at WWL in New Orleans, where she also spent four years, and before that was at WLBT in Jackson, Mississippi, for nearly three years.

From June to September 2007, she worked at WNBC in New York City under a paid fellowship through WNBC and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
